The Pisgah Eagles got their first win over NSM in four years. It started out looking like the Bison would make it 5 in a row, but Pisgah made sure that didn’t happen. NSM scored first on a 4-yard run from Mason Smith to take the lead 8-0 after the 2 point conversion in the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bison added to the lead on a 30-yard touchdown pass from Landon Keller to Derek Bearden to take a 14-0 lead. Pisgah got things rolling just before the half on a Mason Holcomb 12-yard run for a touchdown to cut the lead to 14-6 at the half. The third quarter started with an onside kick by NSM. They recovered it at the Pisgah 30-yard line. From there, Smith took it 26 yards for a touchdown to give the Bison a 20-6 lead with just under ten minutes to play in the third quarter. From that point, it was all Pisgah. Rhyan Barrett scored on a 3-yard touchdown to cut the lead to 20-14 after the 2 point conversion. A Holcomb to Jake Hendricks 22-yard pass for a touchdown gave Pisgah a 22-20 lead after the 2 point try. The Eagles scored again on Legion McCrary’s 58-yard touchdown to give the Eagles the lead 30-20 with just over 10 minutes to play in the fourth quarter. The Pisgah defense stopped the Bison and gave the ball back to the offense. McCrary took it in from 35-yards out to extend the lead to 38-20 with just over eight minutes remaining in the game. Pisgah intercepted the NSM pass and the offense scored on a 1-yard run from Parker Law to give the Eagles the win 44-20. McCrary rushed for 117 yards on 13 carries for the Eagles. Law added 81 yards on 14 carries. Holcomb was 7-13 passing for 102 yards for the Eagles in the win. Pisgah will host its rival, Ider, Friday Night in a region matchup. The game will kickoff at 7:00 pm. NSM will host the Fyffe Red Devils Friday at 7:00 pm.
