Peggy Joyce Lawhorne Sauro, age 87 of Bridgeport, passed away
Thursday, August 8, 2019. Funeral services
will be announced at a later date.
Peggy was born on January 19, 1932, in Bridgeport, Alabama,
the oldest of five children born to Ozelle and Ira Lawhorne.
Ms. Sauro is survived by Daughter – Geni (Matt) Holmes of The
Woodlands, Texas. Sister – Ellen
(Calvin) Hudson of Jacksonville, Florida.
Brother – James Lawhorne of Tennessee. Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Parents – Ozelle and Ira
Lawhorne. Brothers – Edmond Lawhorne of
Bridgeport and David (Sara) Lawhorne of Jackson, Mississippi.
Peggy worked for 30 years at Redstone Arsenal and retired in
1995.
