Burial followed in St. Bonaventure
Cemetery.

November 1, 2019, at her residence. Funeral services were held on Sunday, November
3, 2019, at 2:00 PM from the Rudder Funeral Home – Scottsboro Chapel with Brother
Gene Webb officiating. Burial followed in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Edward Phillip “Goat” Raulston
Edward Phillip “Goat” Raulston, age 93 of Bridgeport, passed
away Sunday, November 3, 2019 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Funeral services were held on Tuesday,
November 5, 2019, at 2:00 PM from the Rudder Funeral Home – Bridgeport Chapel with
Billy Watkins officiating. Burial
followed in Rocky Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Raulston was born April 26, 1926 in West
Palm Beach, Florida to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Edgar and Dannie Kate
Phillips Raulston. He was a graduate of
Bridgeport High School class of 1945 and three years later, on July 21, 1948,
married Ms. Georgia Lucille Sexton. Mr.
Raulston was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea during
World War II. After returning from the
Army, Goat went to work for TVA and retired as Coal Handling Foreman.
Mr. Raulston is survived by: Wife – Georgia Lucille Sexton Raulston of
Bridgeport. Children -Sandra (Kenneth)
Pippenger of Tullahoma, Tennessee and Steven Douglas Raulston of Bridgeport. Grandchildren – Keith (Karrie) Pippenger, Kent
(Jill) Pippenger, John Edward Raulston, and Catherine Grace Raulston. Great Grandchildren – Gracie Olivia Pippenger,
Cade Pippenger, Cole Pippenger, Tinsley Pippenger, Tucker Colt Raulston. Sister – Shirley Crownover. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by:
Parents – William Edgar and Dannie Kate Phillips Raulston. Brother – Herbert Raulston. Sister – Barbara Ann Payne.
