Under and by the virtue of an execution issued out of the Circuit Court of Jackson County on a Judgment rendered against Thomas M. Holt, aka Martin Holt is Defendant and in favor of Redstone Federal Credit Union as Plaintiff. I, Sheriff of Jackson County, Alabama, will sell to the highest bidder for cash at Jackson County Courthouse located 102 E. Laurel Street in the City of Scottsboro, Alabama on the 2nd day of December, 2024, within the legal hours of sale, at 12:00 noon, whatever interest the above named defendant may possess and to the following described property, to-wit:
TRACT ONE
A tract or parcel of land located in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 5 South, Range 7 East of the Huntsville Meridian in Jackson County, Alabama, being more particularly described as follows:
Commence at a one inch diameter reinforcement bar marking the Northwest corner of Section 9, Township 5 South, Range 7 East of the Huntsville Meridian and proceed South 89 degrees 49 minutes 10 seconds East along the North boundary of said Section 9 for a distance of 100.0 feet to a point; thence run South 37 degrees 22 minutes 20 seconds East a distance of 616.80 feet to a point; thence run South 01 degree 21 minutes 20 seconds West a distance of 853.89 feet to a point in the pavement of Jackson County Road No. 124 (60 foot right of way), said point being located in the South boundary of the
Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 9; thence proceed due West along the South boundary of said quarter-quarter and along said road a distance of 331.0 feet to a point, being the Southeast corner of the Claude E. McGriff property (Instrument No. 88-3091); thence run North along the East boundary of the Claude E. McGriff property a distance of 420.0 feet to a point; thence run West along the North boundary of the Claude E. McGriff property a distance of 155.0 feet to a point on the West boundary of said Section 9; thence run North along the West boundary of said Section 9 a distance of
approximately 915 feet to the point of beginning and containing 11 acres, more or less.
TRACT TWO
A parcel of land lying in the Northwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 5 South, Range 7 East, Jackson County, Alabama and being more particularly described as follows:
Commence at a one inch diameter reinforcement bar marking the Northwest corner of Section 9, Township 5 South, Range 7 East of the Huntsville Meridian and proceed South 89 degrees 49 minutes 10 seconds East along the North boundary of said Section 9 for a distance of 100.0 feel to the point of beginning; thence continue South 89 degrees 49 minutes 10 seconds East along the North boundary of said Section 9 for a distance of 689.95 feet to a point; thence leaving the North boundary of said Section 9, proceed South 09 degrees 35 minutes 10 seconds West for a distance of 464.53 feet to a point;
thence proceed South 00 degrees 17 minutes 10 seconds East for a distance of 883.62 feet to a point in the pavement of Jackson County Road No. 124 (60 ft. R.O.W.), said point is located on the South boundary of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 9; thence proceed due West along the South boundary of said quarter-quarter and along said road for a distance of 254.0 feet to a point; thence leaving South boundary of said quarter-quarter, proceed North 01 degree 21 minutes 20 seconds East and parallel to the West boundary of said Section 9 for a distance of 853.89 feet to a point; thence proceed North 37 degrees 22 minutes 20 seconds West for a distance of 616.80 feet to the point of beginning,
and containing 10.0 acres, more or less, according to a survey dated April 21, 1994 prepared by Samuel O. Phillips, Alabama Registered Surveyor No. 11568 of Phillips Engineering, Inc., Sylvania, AL 35988.
Said realty will be advertised, according to law, and sold unless said judgment is satisfied within a limited time.
