City of Stevenson The City of Stevenson will celebrate Depot Days 2023 from June 3 through June 10. This year Laura Diane Wilson has been selected as Friend of the Depot. Laura shared her thoughts about Depot Days in the article below. “I am Laura Diane Wilson. I enjoy living in the small town of Stevenson, Alabama, where I have resided for 47 years. I am married to Tommy Wilson. We have a disabled daughter, Ms. Brittany, who recently celebrated her 30th birthday. My family attends the Amazing Grace Church of God, where I enjoy my church family and activities. I have been with First Southern State Bank for 14 years, where I first got involved with helping at the ice cream social. I enjoy making lots of ice cream and helping serve on Thursday nights of Depot Days. My favorite memory of Depot Days is when we surprised Brittany with a golf cart. We decorated it and participated in our first Depot Day Parade. We threw out tons of candies and bracelets. I loved watching the kids’ faces light up with excitement as they rushed to gather their goodies. Brittany was so happy to ride and hear her friends holler her name. It was definitely a great day. So every year since, we are excited to participate and celebrate in the Depot Day Parade. I am truly honored to be chosen as Friend of The Depot and to share this special day with my wonderful community. Happy Depot days, 2023!”
