Purple Martin Jamboree
The 4th Annual Purple Martin Jamboree will be held on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20. There will be no presentation this year due to COVID-19, but door prizes to be given away as well as Purple Martin and colony products for sale on Saturday; the main day of the event! All donations and proceeds from sales go to colony upkeep! Social distancing will be observed as much as possible as well as most of the event will be outside in open air area! You only have to come inside to buy products, for the door prize giveaways, or restroom breaks!
Family Reunion
The Cousin Family Reunion will be held on Saturday, July 11, from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm, at Jackson County Park Civitan Pavilion. The 2020 Hwy 127 Yard Sale will be held as usual this year from Thursday, August 6 through Saturday, August 8.

Parent And Community Meeting
Scottsboro City Schools will hold a parent and community meeting on Monday, June 15 at 5:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Page Administration Building, located at 305 S. Scott Street in Scottsboro. The meeting’s agenda will include the 2020-21 Scottsboro City Schools academic calendar, student services (online and traditional instruction), and school health and safety. Dance Every Saturday Night
There is a dance every Saturday night at the Veterans Post Home in Scottsboro. Donations go to assist in our mission and programs for veterans, their families and the community. Sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 30. Alcohol free and smoke free environment. Thank you to our faithful regular dancers and listeners who come out every weekend and support our dance! North Jackson High School Prom
The North Jackson High School Roaring Twenties Prom will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM at Valley Hill Country Club located at 8300 Valley Hill Drive SE in Huntsville. Ticket pick-up will be at the North Jackson High School lobby on Monday, June 22 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon and again on Monday June 29 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon.
North Sand Mountain Summer Program
North Sand Mountain will not be having the 21st CCLC Summer Program this summer. Hopefully, next year and next summer we will be back to normal schedule.
Attention Parents Of Upcoming Student Athletes
Attention parents of all upcoming student athletes grades 7-12:
This summer, the Alabama High School Athletic Association is changing our athletic management system. Before any student participates in any athletic activity going forward, they must register, select their school, and complete the 2020 concussion and participation form. This includes anything that we are cleared to do this summer. Physicals currently on file from the 2019/2020 school year are valid through August 2020. Any new athlete must have a physical uploaded into dragonfly before they participate in any conditioning, practice, or contest.
