Beltone Hearing Aid Center Food Drive
The Beltone Hearing Aid Center is accepting non-perishable food items for their food drive to benefit local food banks until Monday, November 23. Donors of at least two cans will be entered into a drawing for a $20 Cracker Barrel gift card and if you have hearing aids you will receive a free pack of hearing aid batteries. Donations can be dropped off at 803 E. Laurel Street every day except Thursday.
Stevenson Lighting of Main Street
The City of Stevenson will hold their annual Lighting of Main Street Celebration on Tuesday, November 24, beginning at 5:00 pm. The city asks that everyone wear a mask while entering buildings and practice social distancing.
Boston Butt Sale
Bridgeport Masonic Lodge #543 and Order of Eastern Star #181 are selling Boston Butts for the Christmas Holidays. They will be $30 and will be cooked on Thursday, December 3. Delivery will be on Friday, December 4, by 10:00 am. If you are interested in ordering contact Bill Riddle at 256-495-3648 or Steve Cooper at 423-443-7697 before Monday, November 30, 2020.
Bridgeport Christmas Parade
The Bridgeport CUBB Annual Christmas parade will be held in downtown Bridgeport on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at 11:30 am. The theme is Honoring First Responders. To participate, contact Judy Matthews at 256-495-3855, Chris Gunter at 256-495-4020, or Teresa Walker at 256-495-3892.
Scottsboro’s Jingle Bell Square
Scottsboro will hold their 7th annual Jingle Bell Square on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6, beginning at 9:00 am. There will be vendors, food, horse and buggy rides, and entertainment. Santa will be there from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Scottsboro Schools Learning Remotely
The district will be learning remotely November 30, December 1, and December 11. The plan is to return in-person from Thanksgiving break on December 2, to keep kids safe after they gather with family for the holiday. The district’s current schedule is 4 days in person and one day off that is set to last through November.
2020 Stevenson Library Christmas Ornaments
The 2020 Stevenson Library Fundraiser Christmas ornaments have arrived! They can be purchased at City Hall or at the library for $15 each. We also still have some of the 2018 and 2019 ornaments available for purchase, if you missed out in past years. All profits will go to continue fun programs at the library.
