Who Will Kiss A Pig?
Section High School
and Skyline High school are competing to see which
principal will have to kiss a pig! Each
school is collecting new and used coats and jackets for those in need. The losing school’s principal will be the one
to kiss the pig. Donations will be accepted until Monday, December 9. The winner will be announced on Tuesday,
December 10.
6th Annual Mistletoe Market
The Scottsboro Woman’s League
is proud to announce that the 6th Annual Mistletoe Market will be
held Friday, November 22 through Sunday, November 24, 2019. The market will be open on Friday from 5:00
pm to 8:30 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Mistletoe Market is an upscale Christmas
Market held at Goose
Pond Civic
Center with 30 vendors
from all across the Southeast. Last year
the market welcomed over 1,000 visitors!
All funds raised by Scottsboro Woman’s League are donated to various
charitable organizations. For more

Jackson County NARFE Meeting
The Jackson
County Chapter 1901 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees
(NARFE) will hold a meeting on Monday, November 25, beginning with a Dutch
treat luncheon at 11:00 am at Western Sizzlin in Scottsboro. The meeting will begin at noon. The speaker will be the Alabama Federal Blue
Cross Representative Account Executive, Chris Alexander. Members and the public are invited to attend.
Book Signing In Bridgeport
The Lena Cagle
Public Library in Bridgeport
will host a book signing on Sunday, December 1, with author Jerry Shadow Wolf
Davis, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. He will
be signing his book, “Riding to Remember.” This book is about the history of the Trail
of Tears Ride. Refreshments will be
served.

Author
Jerry “Shadow Wolf” Davis
will be speaking and signing his book, “Riding to Remember” at the
Stevenson Public Library on Monday, November
25, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This book is about the history of our
indigenous people, how the Trail of Tears happened, and how the world’s largest
organized motorcycle parade brought awareness and designated an overland Trail
of Tears Route
that was lost in History. Refreshments will be served.
Library’s Toddler Story Time
The Lena Cagle Public Library
located in Bridgeport
will hold Toddler Story Time, the 3rd Tuesday of every month, beginning at
10:00 am.
Dance Every Saturday Night!
Dance away your Saturday
nights from, 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at the Veterans Post Home in Scottsboro. Donations go to assist in missions and
programs for veterans, their families, and the community. The event is sponsored by American Legion
Auxiliary Unit 30. It will be an alcohol
and smoke-free environment. All new-comers are welcome.
Guitar Lessons
Stevenson Public Library will
host guitar lessons by Jonathan Olaphant on Wednesdays at 3:30 pm. Lessons will be $10 per person. You can pre-register at the library. All ages are welcome.

is an independent non-denomination
Church led by the Holy
Spirit of God. Services are held on
Sundays at 10:30 am and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm.
