The second annual Bluegrass of the Valley is returning to Scottsboro, bringing the dulcet tones of Appalachia to the Fairgrounds at 230 Cecil Street in Scottsboro, on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15.
The event, which benefits American Legion Post 30 and Veterans of Foreign Wars post 6073, will kick off with the Zion Bluegrass District at 5:00 PM on Friday. Southern Region will take stage at 6:00 PM followed by Billy Wise and Mountain Time at 7:00 PM, Kenny Stinson and Perfect Tym’n at 8:00 PM, before ending the night with headliner Carson Peters & Iron Mountain at 9:00 PM.
Music will kick back off Saturday morning at 10:00 AM and run all day as follows:
10:00 AM – Zion Bluegrass District
11:00 AM – True Roots
12:00 PM – Israel Clark
1:00 PM – Billy Wise and Mountain Time
2:00 PM – Zion Bluegrass District
3:00 PM – Heavenly Honey
4:00 PM – Dry Creek
5:00 PM – Weary Heart
6:00 PM – Billy Wise and Mountain Time
7:00 PM – Carson Peters & Iron Mountain
8:30 PM – Authentic Unlimited
Along with music the event will feature arts and craft vendors and concessions. Admission into the festival is $10 for Friday night, $15 for Saturday or $20 for both days. Children 10 and under get in for free. The event will also feature campgrounds for those interested in full hook-up site tickets are $30 and basic camping is available for $15. There will be free parking available at the event.
