North Sand Mountain brought its A-game conquer Whitesburg Christian 54-28 last Friday at Lloyd Dobbins Field.
The Class 2A, Region 7 win snapped the Bisons losing streak and improved their overall ranking to 2-3.
The Warriors kicked off play scoring two touchdown runs on their first two possessions for an early start.
The Bisons answered in a dominating second quarter performance racking up five touchdowns as their defense held off Whitesburg Christian.
The two teams continued their offensive efforts bringing the score to 28-21, as the Bison rushed for another touchdown.
NSM advanced their 28-21 to 42-21 with seconds left of the half.
The Bisons added their final first-half touchdown as Landon Keller connected with Blake Hill for a 33-yard score following a series of drives, closing out the half 48-21.
Hank Farmer secured NSM’s final touchdown of the evening for a 54-21 advantage.
In the fourth quarter, Robinson found Barnes for the Warriors last score of the game as the Bisons offense worked to shut down all advances.
NSM finished with 256 rushing yards, 144 passing yards and 400 yards of offense and two interceptions.
Keller went 5-of-7 passing for 148 yards and three touchdowns and Farmer led North Sand Mountain with 144 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Robinson led the Warriors with 16 of 35 for 180 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.
North Sand Mountain is on a bye week this week and will return to play next Friday as they travel to Sand Rock for a Class 2A, Region 7 matchup. The two last met in 2019 when the Bisons won 12-7.
