Story and Photo by Cinthia Rico Section (0-3) fell short to Collinsville (2-0) 34-14 at Chad Hawkins Stadium last Friday. Section kicked off the scoring, recovering a fumble and scoring nine plays later. Keaton DeBoard rushed for 52-yards four a Panther touchdown, followed by a 16-yard run from James and another good PAT from Francisco. Collinsville continued to pull away in the third when Beene connected with McAteer for a 19-yard TD pass. At 2:48, McAteer rushed for a 22-yard run and a good PAT. Keaton DeBoard ran for 104 yards and two touchdowns, adding a reception for 7 yards and another touchdown as the Panthers down the Lions in a Class 2A, Region 7 opener. Section’s Cameron Summerford broke free for a 6-yard touchdown run cutting the score. Mason McAteer was 7 for 15 for 99 yards and two passing touchdowns for Collinsville. At the half, the Panthers lead 20-6. With minutes left in the game, Jr. Walker rushed through Collinsville’s defense, the Lions’ final TD of the night, with a 46-yard run. Walker led the Lions with 91 yards on offense and a touchdown, and Summerford finished with 23 yards and a touchdown for Section. The Lions host Sand Rock (1-2 ) for their second Class 2A, Region 7 game on Friday. The Panthers travel to Pisgah (2-0) for their second Class 2A, Region 7 contest.
