Veterans Memorial Park Golf Tournament
The inaugural Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County 4-Man Scramble Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, June 13, at the Goose Pond Colony lake course. This is a fundraiser to benefit the completion of The Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County. Check-In at 10:30 am
Shot Gun Start at 12:00 noon. Entry Fee (includes afternoon meal) $75 per player, $300 per team, Mulligan Package – $25.
Mt. Olive Baptist Church
Mr. Olive Baptist Church will host a revival from Monday, June 24 to Friday, June 28, beginning at 7:00 pm nightly. The evangelist will be Bro. Mark Askew. The church is located on County Road 6, behind Log Cabin Store. Pastor Larry Meeks invites everyone to attend.
Section Church Of God
The Section Church of God, located on 84 Hodge Road, would like to invite all children ages 4 thru 7 to Tiny Disciples Children’s Church each Sunday Morning at 11:00 am. There will be a Bible storytime, crafts, and more led by Director Kelly James. Pastor Gary Nix and church welcomes everyone.

iPhone Workshop
An iPhone Workshop for senior adults is being offered at Northeast Alabama Community College. The workshop will be in three sessions on Mondays, June 10, 17, and 24 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the Business Education Building, Room 207. Registrants must attend ALL three sessions. The workshop is being conducted by NACC Technology Learning Center Director, Judith Lea.
Students will learn to:
• Stay in touch with email, social media, and FaceTime video calling;
• Use the calendar and reminder apps to stay on schedule;
• Share photos, read e-books, play games, and listen to music.
