Burial followed in Old Sardis Holiness Church Cemetery.

Wayne Gene Dianoski, age 80 of Bryant, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019.  A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at 1:00 PM from Hooker Cemetery with Pastor Nick Forshee officiating.  Military honors performed by American Legion Post #106.  Mr. Dianoski was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Roger Dale Matthews, age 69 of Fackler, Alabama, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at
his residence.   Funeral services were held Sunday, May 26, 2019, at 2:00 PM from the Rudder Funeral Home – Stevenson Chapel with Grady Cornelison officiating.  Burial followed in Longacre Cemetery.

Roger was a 1968 graduate of Stevenson High School and a member of Helton’s Chapel Church.  He worked at Chrysler and TVA as an electrician.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam.

Matthews, Christian Matthews Godwin, and Roger Dale Matthews II, Grandchildren – Ronnie Dale Godwin III, Samantha Nicole Matthews, Sara Ashley Matthews, and Travis Hunter Matthews, Brother – Felix (Lola) Matthews, Sisters –  Dorris (Martha) Matthews, Brenda Testolin, Deb (Alan) Smith, and Judy
Matthews.

He was preceded in death by Parents – Leonard and Ellen Elizabeth Matthews, Sons – Joshua (Brandy) Matthews and Kenneth Drew Hall, Siblings – Harold (Sue) Matthews, John T. Matthews, and Louis Testolin.

Mrs. Mary Jim Watt McDowell

Mary Jim Watt McDowell, age 88 of Bridgeport, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019, at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at 2:00 PM from the Rudder Funeral Home – Bridgeport Chapel.

Mrs. McDowell is survived by Brother – Ed (Patricia) Watt.  She was preceded in death by Parents – James Arthur and Frances Eileen Cotton Watt, Daughter – Mary Frances Warren, and Husbands – Kenneth Warren and John C. McDowell.

Mary Jim worked as a postal clerk at the post office in Bridgeport for many years.
