At Scottsboro’s Council Work Session and Meeting held on Monday, September 13, members of the Scottsboro Water, Sewer, and Gas Board were recognized for their achievements. Awards from the Alabama Water and Pollution Control Association were presented to members of the Scottsboro Water, Sewer, and Gas Board in the following category: Surface Water 0-5.0 MGD (Million Gallons a Day). *Water Plant Superintendent- Josh Potts *North Sauty Water Treatment Plant- Best Operated Plant (3rd Consecutive Year) *Skinny Jones Water Treatment Plant- Award of Excellence Our WSG Board was also selected by The American Public Gas Association for System Operational Achievement Recognition level SILVER by its peers on the APGA Operations and Safety Committee. The selection was based on demonstrated excellence in the four areas of system integrity, system improvement, employee safety, and workforce development. *Gas Department Superintendent- Paul Butler *Compliance Officer- Valerie Snodgrass
