Fixin’ Pets Charity Car
Show & Family Fun Day
The Fixin’ Pets Charity Car Show & Family Fun Day will be held on, Saturday, May 4, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Show vehicle registration is $15. Vendor registration is $25. Free admission and parking for spectators. Donations are greatly appreciated. All proceeds benefit Spay Neuter Jackson
County, Alabama, a 501c(3). The show
will be held at Goose Pond Colony in Scottsboro.
1st Saturday Cruise-In
The Jackson County Cruisers will host the Scottsboro 1st Saturday
Cruise-In, on Saturday, May 4, around Courthouse
Square, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Register any vehicle for free. Vehicle entries will be entered into a cash
drawing, and will have one entry into the Grand Prize Drawing at the October
Cruise-In. You must be present to
win. 50-50 tickets will be sold as a
fundraiser for a backpack program to feed children on weekends. For more information go to Jackson County

Banquet
The 2018 All County Academic Banquet will be held on, May 7, from
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Goose
Pond Colony
Civic Center. Tickets are $25.00 each. This event twill
celebrate the top 5% performing students from across the county, recognizing
students, their parents and school leaders.

is offering a free childbirth education class at, 6:00 pm, on Tuesday, May 7, (Harley Street
entrance). Parents-to-be will learn
important information such as: when to
go to the hospital, items to pack, ways to control pain, postpartum care, and
how to care for their baby when they get home.

The Hollywood community will
host a Bicentennial Breakfast on, Thursday, May 9, from 7:30 am to 8:30 am, at Hollywood School.
There will be presentations on the history and heritage of Hollywood.

Community Led Workforce Planning Meeting
A Community Led Workforce Planning Meeting will be held on,
Tuesday, May 16, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, at the IMPACT Learning
Center located at 23123 John T Reid Pkwy, Scottsboro, AL 35768. Four objectives have been defined and we are
now tackling the 2nd of 4, Financial Skills.
At this meeting they will be exploring local Financial Skills assets and

The Scottsboro High School Class of 1959 will meet at the Sizzlin
in Scottsboro just off Highway 72 on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00am. Classmates will have plenty of time to visit
with each other.
