Jose Rios Reyes, age 72 of Scottsboro, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at 1:00 PM from Trinity Baptist Church. Burial followed in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. Mr. Reyes was a veteran of the United States Army. He served from 1969-1971 during which time he gained the rank of Private First Class. He was stationed in San Antonio, Texas and Ozark, Alabama. He served a year in Germany and received a National Defense Service Medal and was an M-14 Marksman.
