State and County
Business License Due
Jackson County Probate Judge Victor Manning reminds
all business owners that State and County Privilege Licenses are due and
payable during October. Penalty and interest will be added after October 31, 2019.
Thursday, October 31st,
is the last day to renew business and privilege licenses without accruing
penalty and interest. All renewals must
be postmarked by 10-31-2019 to avoid penalties and interest!
Privilege Licenses can be renewed by mail, online at www.renewyourtag.com,
or at the Probate Office in the Jackson County Courthouse. Office hours
are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Mountain View Christian
Academy
Mountain View Christian
Academy will hold a
Harvest Festival on Saturday, November 2.
Games will be from 11:00 to 1:00 pm, with the auction beginning at 2:00
pm EST. There will be fun for all ages.
Highlands Fall
Festival
Highlands Medical Center will host a FALL Festival on Friday, November 8, from 8:00, am to
11:00 am. You will learn about ways to
prevent falls when you are at home and out in the community. Activities will include a craft show, bingo,
cake walk, Medicare Q&A, fall prevention activities, health fair, flu
shots, snacks, and giveaways. The Circle
Dulcimer Group will provide entertainment.
Bryant Ruritan Club
The Bryant
Ruritan Club will host a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, November 9, from 4:00 pm
to 6:00 pm. Plates will be $6 each. Veterans eat free. Meals include spaghetti, salad, toast,
dessert, and tea. Carry-outs will be
available.
Guitar Lessons
Stevenson Public Library will
host guitar lessons by Jonathan Olaphant on Wednesdays at 3:30 pm. Lessons will be $10 per person. You can pre-register at the library. All ages are welcome.
6th Annual Mistletoe Market
The Scottsboro Woman’s League
is proud to announce that the 6th Annual Mistletoe Market will be
held Friday, November 22 – Sunday, November 24, 2019. Opening and closing times to be announced
later. Mistletoe Market is an upscale
Christmas Market held at Goose
Pond Civic
Center with 30 vendors
from all across the Southeast. Last year
the market welcomed over 1,000 visitors!
All funds raised by Scottsboro Woman’s League are donated to various
charitable organizations. For more

Library’s Toddler Story Time
The Lena Cagle Public Library
located in Bridgeport
will hold Toddler Story Time, the 3rd Tuesday of every month, beginning at
10:00 am.
Dance Every Saturday Night!
Dance away your Saturday
nights from, 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at the Veterans Post Home in Scottsboro. Donations go to assist in missions and
programs for veterans, their families, and the community. The event is sponsored by American Legion
Auxiliary Unit 30. It will be an alcohol
and smoke-free environment. All new-comers are welcome.
New Life Ministries
New Life Ministries in Ider
is an independent non-denomination
Church led by the Holy
Spirit of God. Services are held on
Sundays at 10:30 am and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm.

will begin holding Under Grace Recovery Program meetings each Thursday at 6:30

N.E. Alabama Marine Corps League
The N.E. Alabama Marine Corps
League, Detachment 1404, meets at 10:00 am the second Saturday each month, at 659 Wallace Ave. NE, Fort Payne, AL, 35967. Marines and Navy Corpsmen
