Bum Pickins Week 9
Well, football season is quickly winding down for some
teams. Next week will be the end for some, and others will get ready for a
state championship run. I am getting ready for a pigskin pickem championship,
so let’s buckle up and get it on!
Head of the Valley traveled over to R.A. Hubbard and got
beat 29-18. Section took care of business with a 35-0 win over Asbury. Sylvania rolled over the
Pisgah Eagles 55-24. Fyffe clinched the region with a 62-14 win over NSM. Fort Payne
continued to win with a victory over Hazel Green 45-28. Collinsville rolled over Sand Rock 35-0. Plainview beat New
Hope 39-31 to celebrate a Homecoming Victory! Cedar
Bluff downed Ider 40-6. Susan Moore locked up the region with a big win over
Geraldine 34-6. Sardis beat Crossville 28-0, and
West Morgan slipped past North Jackson 51-46.
Scottsboro beat Madison
Academy 21-12, and
Woodville lit up the scoreboard with a 71-56 win over Coosa Christian. Bama
made it 13 in a row with a 35-13 win over Tennessee,
and Auburn routed Arkansas 51-10.
This week is Big. Lots of playoff berths are on the line. Collinsville will travel to Cedar Bluff to wrap up region play. Bum says Collinsville blows out Cedar Bluff 48-21. Ider travels to Fyffe. Fyffe is looking for another undefeated season. They will get one step closer with a 52-0 win over Ider. Fort Payne travels to Cullman. This game has become a rivalry game. Bum says Fort Payne wins a close one 28-24. Plainview travels to Pisgah for a winner take all for a playoff game. Win you’re in, lose you’re out! Both teams match up well. This one could be an ole fashion slobber knocker. Bum thinks it will come down to the end with the Bears getting the win 21-17. Section travels to NSM. Section is ready for some Basketball! NSM wins 41-7. Head of the Valley will host Coosa Christian with a chance to get home-field advantage in the playoffs. Bum says Head of the Valley wins 48-10. Southside travels to Crossville. Crossville is ready for some Basketball! But wait! Crossville gets the win 28-27. Sylvania travels to Geraldine. Both teams are in the playoffs. Home-Field advantage is on the line. If you win, you play at home in the first round, lose, and you travel for the first round. Bum says the Bulldogs get the win 31-24. Sand Rock hosts Asbury! Asbury is ready for some Basketball! Sand Rock rolls to a 38-7 win. Scottsboro hosts Brewer. Scottsboro wins 48-10! North Jackson hosts Randolph. North Jackson is ready for some basketball! Randolph wins 48-47! Decatur Heritage hosts Woodville. Decatur Heritage is too much for Woodville. Decatur Heritage wins 48-21. Bama hosts Arkansas without Tua! Bama wins without Tua, 41-17. Auburn travels to LSU. Auburn has a great defense! LSU has a great offense. Auburn is somewhat weak on pass defense. LSU can air it out. LSU wins 34-21! Notre Dame travels to Michigan. Why are we even picking this game? I don’t like either one of them! Michigan wins 82-81 in 12 overtimes!
Well, I can’t believe that this time next week, the regular
season will be coming to an end. It is just now football weather! As always,
