The 88th Annual Fall Agricultural Fair starts next Tuesday, September 10 through September 14 at the Jackson County Veterans Fairgrounds in Scottsboro. This year’s event will see rides, games, food, nightly entertainment, local vendors and individual exhibits. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. each night and rides start at 6 p.m. Entry is $5 cash at Gates 1-3, $6 electronic payments at Gate 4, and no admission charge for ages 5 and under. Unlimited ride stamps are $20 daily and individual tickets are also available. Parking will cost $5 per vehicle. Individual exhibits can be entered at the Fairgrounds starting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6. Refer to Fair Catalog for Divisions and Classes and specific requirements. Livestock Show (Saturday at 6 p.m.) Nightly entertainment begins at approximately 7 p.m. each night and will include:
Tuesday – Erica Cookston, an award-winning Christian and Gospel singer hailing from Hollywood, AL
Wednesday – Brian Anderson will host the crowd-favorite karaoke night.
Thursday – Ryan Cody Cookston will play family-friendly Country, Southern Rock, and Classic Country Music.
Friday – Wrong 2 Wright Band, a five-member band playing 90s Country, Outlaw Country, and original material. The band was previously voted best musician in Jackson County.
Saturday – The Muddy Water Band, Jackson County’s 2023 People’s Choice award winner for best music/band and Josie Music Awards Song of the Year nominee in Outlaw Country. The Jackson County Veterans Fairgrounds is located at 220 Cecil Street, Scottsboro.
